    Default Exhaust question

    Hi just got a roadie done on a VS, was told I had to change the centre muffler becuase of loose baffles,
    How easy is it to chage?
    And by centre muffler, do they mean cat converter?

    No, they mean the centre muffler, the one in front of the diff.

    Easy to change, two bolts at the cat and two bolts behind the muffler. Be careful you don't snap the cat bolts, they can seize in. The two bolts behind the muffler can be awkward to get to. (This is assuming it is still the stock system)

    The exhaust may not have the provision to remove just the centre muffler. All the ones ive seen have (after cat) front-pipe (pipe, muffler, more pipe), expandable joint, and rear pipe (over diff and rear resi and tip).

    ^^^^^ You may have to replace the whole front pipe, if it is like the system above
