I have a VS series one time to part ways with it but need to do a few fix ups be for i sell .
Problem number one
have completed a manual conversion, always had a knoking noise when putting power down under passenger side , have had a suggestion that its bushes but that wouldnt explain why the noise dosent happen when cornering ..
i think it may be the gear box flexing in its brakets and maybe hitting the the side of the trans tunnel but still unsure .
Problem number two
speedo issue - i didnt install a manual wiring loom due to lazyness and have the plugs for the gear box still and wanted to know if anyone on here knows an auto elec that can wire them into the auto loom , I am running a full manual computer not just a memcal .
Problem number three SOLVED!!-had wrong brake light globe in - fixed for $3
a few weeks back turned my lights off whilst foot on brake , blew a globe in head light and ever since then if i put my foot on brakes whilst light are off my parkers come on and dash lights also illuminate, also when lights are on brake lights stay illuminated constintly but only when lights are on dont have this issue when lights are off . Friend suggested an earthing problem .
Any advice would be great guys as im sure i can save some money here without running off to the auto elec not knowing a thing he'll see dollar signs in my eyes .
cheers

alright thanks mate will get on it tomorrow
BUMP!
need some more input boys !! i know there is some of u that will know !
Problem number one
I have this noise only when i take off for about a second which makes me think it would be your extractors hitting the body due to flogged mounts
Problem number two
I did a manual conversion to mine aswell & I dont have a manual loom or computer and im in the process of wiring up the speed sensor. Im pretty sure all you need to do is run a power and earth cable to the speed sensor on the gearbox and then tap into the ecu and splice into the speed signal> Im pretty sure its in one of the topics in the how to section
Problem number three
Pretty sure wogboyz is right about this i bought a globe from a servo turned out it was the wrong one but i just sat it in there to get me home without risk of a defect and my parkers and dash lights came on once i put the right globes in it went away.
Good to see someone has the same problems as me lol
lights are fixed ! was just a globe i blew a tail light a while ago and a mate gav me a vt brake light so replaced them tonight and bang fixed cheers wogboyz your a champ !
VSEXEC thanks heaps for the input i have a felling your right about Problem number one it definatly makes alot of sense =] as when i put a new motor in a lil while ago i didnt replace the mounts .. and pacemakers do sit very close to the underside where the noise is comming from .
ur solution to problem number two sounds pretty well on the mark as well if the fourum has a diagram of the main plug for the ecu labling what wires go where shouldnt be to hard to wire it in with some crimping tools ..
I'm an electrician so i'll ask some of the electronic guys at tafe what they think next tuesday and hopefully they know exactly what to do .
once again thanks guys for the help !
haha sorry mate ! i read yours after i made the new post . thanks for the input and im sure ur just a good as a bloke as VSEXEC haha
