Hi all, just a quick question, i was lucky enough to score a set of VT dba slotted rotors and calipers for my VR pretty cheap, but i was under the impression that i may need some sort of spacer/shim to do this job, is this correct? And if so where do i buy them? Thanks.
yes u need a spacer/shim thingo. its a thin metal ring that slides all the way onto your front hub and locates the vt rotor properly
try ebay, i got mine for $50 delivered from race brakes in sydney however there are other mobs on there with them
A shim is required between the hub and rotor. The hole in the center of the rotor and the OD of the hub are 1.5mm different. The shim is to allow the rotor to center correctly on the hub.
If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?
yeh thought so thanks for that
will VE calipers fit straight onto a VR with VT discs?
Nup, your best bet would be one of these:
