    Default 1993 vr commodore fuel problem

    Hay im having problems with my fuel pump for some reason it keeps shitting its self is there any special way of putting them in or am i just unlucky 3 in 6 weeks . The car is just a standard 6 cylinder

    Hi,check the fuel pump wiring under the back of the car near the fuel tank.While the pump is running (engine running),move the wiring around and listen to see if the pump stops at all.Also check the fuel pump relay under the bonnet.(swap it for another one the same).Theres no way you would go through 3 pumps in a few weeks.Id be checking other things as well like the CAS(crank angle sensor).This can make the car stop and go and run crook like theres a fuel problem.It might be worth checking out.Also check for any logged error codes.This link shows you how to do that.     check fuel return valve too if your pumps are blowing then they are shorting or over working

    also your fuel filter, if its blocked your pump will have to work extra hard...

    otherwise, yes you can be that unlucky.

    Just check the wiring and connections, the fuses and relays, replace the filter (probably needs doing anyway). And if you still blow them........................................buy a new car!
