    Default VS Ute Problem (HELP!!!)

    Its a VS V6 Series 2 Auto
    Its Standard
    169,547 on the clock
was in a crash about 5 months ago. got it fixed (it sat around for about 4 months, started every few days)
    1999 Model

    ----------

got it repaired, got it home found a leak in the radiator so i installed the radiator myself, everything ws working fine until the other day, i was driving down the road, car was running really well.. left the traffic lights, got to second gear (auto) then the car started to make these really random noises and started to loose power (it sounded like it was running outta fuel). i had it going for a little long then pulled over turned the car off, and popped the hood. i had alook under the hood to try and figger out what had happened. from what i could tell there was nothing Visuble wrong.

got back in the car and tried to start it, it would not fire, it sounded extremly flooded.. i put and held my foot on the exelarator and it rumbled shoke lost of black smoke and flames came out of the exhust, i though at first there was no fuel getting to the engin, so i replaxed the fuel filter, While i had the filter off i checked the Fuel pump and it seemed to be pupming fuel fine So let it sit there for an hour(to clear any flooding, after the hour i tried to start it, it rumbled shoke and i he lf my foot down for about 30 seconds and it began to run normaly. so i figgered while its going, good time to get it home on the way, it began to over heat not by much but it got pretty dam hot..

    got it home..

the next day i replaxed the spark plugs one by one, so i would not get the leads muddled up.

i started it, it stayed on but it ran really ruff so i let it do its ruffness for about 30 seconds and it slowly began to run normaly, let it run for a little, realised the fan was not working (explains the over heating)

i turned the car off, tryed to start it, sme thing would not start, so i pushed and held the exellerator on for about 30 seconds and it ran normaly,

i also replaced the Water pump. (it was slowly leaking)

the next day (today) i repleaced the 02 Sensor, worked for about to goes then started all over agian.

I put 10 leters though it and some EFI jet cleaner.

    Still nothing
When its cold it will start but idle ruff.
there is no engin warning light on.

Im slowly running out of ideas guy, So if anyone could help me, that would be great

    thanks

Matty.. FIRST POST, shame its not a good one.

Did you check for codes? Pins 5&6 (Bridge)
If its a CAS it will tell you when you check for codes

take your car to a mechanic or buy a work shop manual.

The CAS is a sensor located behind the harmonic balancer when it fails it will cause problems.

    ah ok so its here

Looking from the front of the car, top left of the harmonic balancer (the big pulley at the bottom in the centre) there is a plug, that is the CAS
