Some thief forced the driver door lock and now it is kaput.
I presume a competent handyman can replace them, assuming you can
get a matching lock. Can one order a correct lock from the VIN?
Has anybody replaced the lock themselves?
I had another brand of car, and the driver door lock was also busted.
For that I had to get the dealer to repair it, which cost over $400 10 year ago.

easy to change your self, i had to do one on my ute a while back, if you go to the wreckers and grab a lock out of the same model car take it to a lock smith with your key and they can make the lock match your existing key, thats what i did, cost me about $50 all up
To change the lock will take you half hour tops if you good with your tools.
