Ok, the list grows daily of little niggles with my recently purchased VR Stato 5.0 Litre.
Still no air coming out the face vents and the concensus is that it's the Vacuum Control Box that sits under the radio in the dash which is the culprit. Priced one at the local Holden dealership here and fainted, then revived and scuttled away quickly. Anyone know of someone with a good secondhand one of these please?
Pulled into the driveway today after a light short cruise and my mystery knocking noise under the drivers side rocker cover has returned, ughh. Just a stuck lifter I have been advised and will be applying some lifter free additive on my next oil change, also as advised. Car is on dual fuel and the knocking noise seems to mostly occur after a prolonged run on petrol.
I hear a little tinkling sound coming from under the bonnet intemittently when idling, sounds like it's an exhaust type rattle kind of noise?
When I have the right indicator on and sitting at the lights I hear a faint chiming sound coming from it seems under the bonnet also, any ideas what this could be as well?
Car idles a little rougher on gas than petrol, is this normal in dual fuel V8's?
Any ideas are as always much appreciated.

If you have the difgital climate control:
The vacume control box is under the sterio, its easier to remove the whole center console and center dash surround though tbh, that will only take 30 mins so don't fret, the unit can be pulled apart and cleaned.
Just blow it out with an air gun, get some RP-7 in there and blow it out again (Once fully disasembled) put it back together, make a new filter for the front, I just wrapped the origional filter in some cotten cloth tos otp it breaking upa nd getting into the solenoids.
My vents had never worked properly but after that they worked 100% and have done so for some time.
Thank you very much for that, I think that is my first step as well. Only issue I have in doing that is what I mentioned in one of my earlier posts, I am disabled and cannot get myself into those tightish positions or even control a screwdriver overly well.
Now that I have that information from you I at least know what to suggest to someone I take the car to so they can try that first in case all it needs is indeed a good clean. Thanks for your help.
Again, anyone in the Portland area willing to give me a hand to fix this and future problems it would be greatly appreciated and of course I am willing to provide food, beverages, parts when needed and payment for services rendered up to an acceptable amount. Someone, anyone?

When you pull the console out, make sure you disconnect the main battery first, otherwise you may blow fuses etc.
I know little of cars on gas except that they do need servicing by the gas people when they play up, however it may pay to pull a plug and make sure they are gapped for running on gas - this is a smaller gap than cars that run of petrol.....I'm not sure of what the gap is but I do know that it is smaller.
Good Luck.
