Hi All.
Just replaced the Temp sensor in the VR (only $16 so why not) ITS BEHIND THE ALTERNATOR TO ALL WHO DONT KNOW.
Much better idle now, So to all that have a few idle issues i would swap it with a new one along with a new IAC and throttle body clean. And engine mounts buts thats another story.
Basic how to on how to replace it. I am not responsible for anything you attempt your self.
1. Pop the bonnet. (Obviously)
2. Disconnect the Negative terminal on the battery. Now remove the Belt by lifting the belt tension pulley.
3. Locate you alternator, Then remove the 2 Support Bolts.
4. Move the alternator to the side (No need to disconnect the cables)
5. Locate the sensor, The on the right, not the left, Disconnect the cable by removing the locking U shaped Pin.
6. Remove the Sensor from the block. Be sure to have the new one ready so you don't loose coolant.
7. Clean any spilt coolant. Now perform these steps in reverse.
8. Hint when replacing the belt, pull up the belt tension pulley, and slip the belt over the water pump pulley, I found easiest.
Should take no more then 10 mins. And your car should Idle better now you have the correct tempeture going to the ECU
Cheers all :-)
Point out me mistakes and i will fix hehe.
