no special tools require just a pair of side cutters for the split pin a hammer and punch to remove the old bearing cone a jack a wheel brace and a 19 mm spanner or socket pliers to remove grease cap thats about it ?
yer maybe if u doing vl hubs
vr/vs have a sealed hub that needs to be purchased and there ova 100 bucks each and u will need a 10mm hex socket there are 3 bolts holding it on

i did mine not long ago and got genuine ones from holden (skf brand) they cost around 250-300 bucks each, i wasn't going to trust the cheapo chinese ones off ebay
a decent size breaker bar and some loctite would be handy for the hex bolts holding the hub on
thanks guys, does anyone know what size the hex key is as ill have to go buy one i don t have any?

Just went up the shed and checked the one I used - it says 3/8. I used a piece of pipe about 500mm long to add leverage when removing and installing the hex bolts. Turn the wheel from one side to the other to make removal/installation easy.
