    Hey Guys,
Recently started driving my VS full time and only got about 370 to the tank, from what ive gathered this isnt too good. Anyone suggest any ways to get better economy?

^^^ Mines in the same boat, lol.
Get around 350km's regardless of driving style, type of driving (city or highway)
I have replaced absolutely everything, and I flat out refuse to put LPG on a car,
If forklifts don't like it, why would a car?!

I've given up, I get the same economy out of it as a mates 200kw 'red' HSV does

its pretty annoying, but then again my girlfriends 4cyl nissan pulsar chews MORE than mine lol. her tank is like 7L smaller than mine and she gets max 300k, running it into the ground.

so I gather replacing the o2 sensors would be a good idea. that will be happening in a few weeks when I get my pacies installed (Scored a set including ypiece of ebay for $165)

but what about the seals on the injectors, fuel pressure regulators, etc are they likely to be a problem? am I better off just replacing them.

oh wait... my fuel pump gasket is leaking LOL. the leak isnt big enough to be a major loss of fuel but it could be loss of pressure. what do you think?

    Hey mate,
check the error codes, if they're all good might want to change plugs and leads. Get a decent panel filter and cold air induction, fit a more free flowing exhaust thent he car will breathe better in all ways.

Then, manual conversion so you can knock it into 5th all the time :P

I get a minimum of 450k's to a tank, usually giving it a fair bootful.

ill check the error codes, ive been meaning to do that for a while. recently changed plugs and leads, i have a k&n panel filter, and a 2.5"" reback exhaust. extractors to come.

so something is definitely wrong here. the other thing I might do is get some tb gaskets from holden, its currently sealed with gasket glue because i broke the gaskets when I cleaned the tb lol.

I figure anything over 300 is good.....but really, it all depends on your driving style. No two drivers are the same!
So, for the OP, 370km is good.

I have no idea how its possible but our VR gets 700KMs to tank. was only getting about 400. But gave it a service and much better. Was only getting about 600, but i put in GM plugs and gained another 100kms to a tank. And change the Fuel filter. This will help alot.

Just cruize up to speed and try to get in as higher gear as possible without labouring the engine. I found a dramatic decrease in my fuel consumption.

My VR Stato 5 Litre is on dual fuel but when on petrol I get minimum 450 to 500 K's around town and minimum 750 K's on a trip cruising on the highway. It has an 80 Litre tank of course which helps and also everyones driving style is different as another poster altready stated. It's just a stock 5 Litre 4 spd auto and I'm an old fart never in too much of a hurry to get anywhere, lol.

With a broken return line, I was getting around 440kms before it was running like a pig and had to fill up. Have fixed the return line to the swirl pot now and already at 450kms and running fine

yeah I'm still in the process of getting it to a state i'm happy with as the last owner didn't know anything and thus didn't take care of it properly. I have all the same setup as you! is your car auto or manual?
