No Diagnostics?

Hey,
Ive been having some problems with my V6 Vs commodore running rough, so i thought i would check it for error codes, i have done it before without hassles, but now when i short the 2 pins together nothing happens,..

Has the engine light globe blown?

i stupidly didnt thingk of that until after i had posted,
But is there a way to test it without replacing it?

When you first turn it to ignition, All the warning lights should light up for a few seconds.

o yer, its the bulb then...
