Been one of those days. Happened to have the VS at a dealer buying a turn signal bulb, ended up costing me $300.00. Went back to the car and noticed the dreaded green blood pool under the front. A quick analysis found the problem, RH plastic radiator tank had split. A call to the radiator shop and ato someone I know soon had her back on the road in a couple of hours. Some observations, lucky the car was at a Holden dealership when it happened. This could have turned out a lot worse than it did. A new radiator isn't that expensive when compared to a lot of other cars (new aftermarket in this case as VS radiators are no longer available from Holden). I know for a fact that this was the original radiator that blew (14 years and 165,000k's) so I can't really complain too much about it. What concerns me is that there must be a bunch of other parts now showing their age so I will need to ramp up my "on the road" replacement program. All in all I am lucky I don't have a cooked ecotech and sitting on the side of the road somewhere. While I was at it I replaced the bottom hose and 2 moulded heater hoses just for good measure. Just thought I would share....now where is that cold beer I promised myself?
$300 for an indicator bulb???

Of course not, but thinking I was going to be up for a couple of bucks ended up being $300.00
