Hey guys, when I turn the wheel full lock either way it makes this strange buzzing/hissing sound, is this normal, if not what could the problem be??
If it makes the noise only whilst actually turning the wheel it's probably a dry bush where the steering column goes thru the bulkhead - spray from the engine bay with WD40.
However if it happens when you stop turning the wheel (not straight ahead) then I'd check the fluid level in the power steering reservoir as it may be low.
Good Luck.
I would check your power steering hoses, one of mine busted off and it made a hissing sound when i went around corners so i would assume that this is the same
um if you have the wheel turned/full lock, but stopped, the noise wont happen as the noise will only happen as you turn the wheel(whether you are stopped or moving) i suggest you check the power steering fluid levels, top it up, if it still makes the noise, check all hoses ect for anything lose/disconnected, if none of that is the problem, have the power steering pump checked![]()
