Buying a VR Exec, need advice

Hey guys, Im looking at buying a vr exec for a run around car, can you let me know if there is anything I should look out for when looking at them?

Also what sort of fuel economy are you getting? Kms to the tank?

Hey Mate.

THe Mrs Has a VR Berlina, And she gets 700KMs to a tank.
Things i would look out for. Front and rear shocks, Oil Leaks, Coolant in oil. How she runs when HOT. may need a new IAC and throttle clean. Service History that kind of thing. Also the heater core maybe blocked off or may even leak & any unusual knocking sounds. Make sure its not parked on the grass when you look at it, they might be hiding leaks of sorts. and try to find one under 200k.

mine gets less than 350kms out of a tank at the moment lol. carefully check it for oil leaks, I bought mine and had to get the sump gasket done and the front trans seal a few months later.

also make sure there are no oil spots on the rear end of the car if there is there is a good chance its has a leaking rear main seal (C*NT OF A JOB) lol

lol it's just about the only thing that wasn't wrong with mine. spots up the back there could be front trans seal too.
