Dim Headlights

I have an electrical problem with my vs calais.

The headlights are very dim but the highbeams appear fine so do all the other lights on the car.

I replaced the bulbs and this did not fix it.

I have also noticed the car has had problems starting latly, I will turn the igntion and nothing happens, all the dash lights up but there but nothing fires, I wait about 60 seconds and it starts without a problem, could this be an alternator or wire problem?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

mate i would be checking that the battery terminals are on tight or there is no corrossion on then

check your earth cables are tight and not corroded where they mount to the body and the engine

if that is all fine it could be a problem with your bcm

Check the relays under the bonnet(swap them around with the ones there that are the same).Check the alternator output as well.With the engine running it should be around 13 volts or a bit more.
