Gday Guys. Just went to use my drivers side elctric window and heard a big pop as it was halfway down. upon further inspection one of the arms was bent inside the door trim. just wondering whether the whole mechanism inside can be replaced or not.
Yes it can. You can pick up after market regulators off ebay or get them from a wrecker. You have to take the entire door trim off to get to it. This happened to me, but I just bent the arm back.

how hard is it to replace the regulators
Not really that hard, just time consuming. It's also better if you have two people. The hardest part is getting both arms of the regulator onto the window whilst the window sits in the bailey channels (I think that's what their called).
you have to drill out the rivets that hold the mechanism in place, you can replace them with nuts and bolts will make things easier if you need to get it out again.
