time has come for me to get some new rotors.
going to upgrade to slotted for a bit extra stopping power now i have the charger.
got a quote for $120 each for dba slotted, but i saw on ebay i can get rda (rotor and drums australia) slotted disks for around 180 a set posted. i've never heard of this rda company so has anyone heard of them or tried them out? which should i go for?

    Hey Mate.

We tossed some RDA standard discs on the VR and i think they are good considering the price. Paid i think about $140 for discs and pads(free pads). Found them good, Much better then what ever was on it before. ABS kicks in and all that. Just besure to remove the coating from your new Discs hehe. Gave them a good try when they bedded in. Had them smoking and performance was still really good.

Sounds a cheaper option than the DBAs from say Supercheap @ $78 each.

Over the medium term ( 12 months, 15ks ), are there any other RDA users out there ?

It's always a good thing to save decent dollars if the quality is similar.

used many different disc's thru out the years in the trade just be sure to match the pads and disc's to your driving style consider if you tow alot or do track work or just street use . never had to many problems with RDA rotors more the drivers attitude and use of the brakes , sticky calipers or incorrect pads fitted , incorrect bearing adjustments

My VY had new rotors fitted under used car warranty they used a brand called Argent and they even have a similar kangaroo paw fin pattern to the DBA ones. The pads are genuine holden ones and this setup seems to work fine.
Just remember when you fit the new rotors make sure you clean the hub surface with a wire wheel in a drill to remove any rust, scale etc that could make the rotors run out of true.

I bought a set of slotted rotors from Not_An_Abba_Fan and they were not only cheaper than anywhere else, but fantastic and easy to put on, with pads too, and i bought for front and rear, and i'm totally impressed.

Even with postage costs to me, it was cheaper than going to the shops.

Get him to PM you with a quote for what you want : )
