    Default trip computer

just wondering what wires are needed for the trip computer to be working in a vs clubsport auto

before today it has always worked... but through my aggressive fiddling with electrics in an attempt to install a speedo corrector i must have knocked a connection that controls the trip computer. just wondering what coloured wires i should be testing....according to the wiring diagram i have a yellow wire with black stripe controls the trip computer

    http://www.memcals.com/pdf/VSV8%20Ma...%20Diagram.pdf

can some one else confirm this with me???

where should i be looking for loose connections because i find it hard to believe that that one wire controls the odometer, fuel consumption gauge and trip computer all at once...

any help would be greatly appreciated!

    thanks in advance

The 4th plug probably is out.

You need to test the orange/white to power up the ODO.

The 4th plug - goes in the bottom of the cluster.

The orange/white and black/white power the trip computer up. Find out if you have power at the main plug for the dash loom. If yes go to the 4th plug and see if you have power there.

your all going to laugh but it turned out to be a fuse

when it first happened i checked the fuse and it was good
then i discovered that the 4th plug was out...so i plugged it back in thinking that it would fix the problem
haha then doing that must have blown the fuse!!!

quite embarassing...glad it was something small!

Yes, I will laugh, but with you, not at you. I know the relief when a problem turns out easy to fix.
