VP has a hydraulic gearbox. VR is electronic. To do it will require the loom and ecu to be incorporated as far as I know.

just motor box loom computer relly i havent put a vp motor in a vr but iv put a few v6 motors in to other cars and commys and just but all vn vp vr swap around you will soon see what elso you need when you are changing them but if you have a whole car there then it should be easy, (last vr i did the only thing that didnt work was the speedo but it was auto and i put a manual in it)

Theres nothing really to it. Motor, gearbox, loom and ecu. Swap all that and it should be fine. I don't know about the speedo sensor though.
