AS ABOVE.
I HAVE A VP(FULL CAR) WILL THE MOTOR N BOX FIT A VR?
IF NOT WHAT IS NEEDED 2 MAKE IT FIT?
both (Buick V6)
BOTH AUTO'S
VP has a hydraulic gearbox. VR is electronic. To do it will require the loom and ecu to be incorporated as far as I know.
well i have a vp that run's find so all parts i can get.
Out of curiosity why swap VP stuff in a newer car?
should be fine just swap loom and ecu ect as well, everything will bolt up
WRAITH beacuse my gearbox in the vr is ****ed. n where i live there is only 300 people here so it is hard 2 get parts's.
HOLDENMAN308 what else do i need 2 swap?
just motor box loom computer relly i havent put a vp motor in a vr but iv put a few v6 motors in to other cars and commys and just but all vn vp vr swap around you will soon see what elso you need when you are changing them but if you have a whole car there then it should be easy, (last vr i did the only thing that didnt work was the speedo but it was auto and i put a manual in it)
o ok. i would like 2 no what i need tho..
i know thats thers a bit of work if you just put the vp auto in to a vr so if you do the motor as well should fix that
Theres nothing really to it. Motor, gearbox, loom and ecu. Swap all that and it should be fine. I don't know about the speedo sensor though.
what about the bcm n all that?
