    Default Power Window question

Hi all just a quick query.

I have a VR berlina wreck and a VS acclaim wagon which doesnt have power windows. I had to replace the doors on the wagon (long story) however the front two that I got are off a VS with power windows.
I replaced the drivers door yesterday and thought I would test it out so I grabbed the console with switches, 20Amp fuse and Relay from the berlina and installed them into the wagon yesterday as it already had the loom etc for the power windows however this tested unsuccessful. Is there anything else that I need to grab from the berlina for it to work? or is it more likely to be a faulty regulator etc?

    Cheers

Never mind guys...just put the passenger side in and that one worked ok so I guess it must be the regulator.

Nope not the regulator so I suspect that it is the auto down in the BCM.

I have been searching online trying to find which wires I need to cut to splice back into the loom to bypass the BCM but have been unable to find anything regarding this. Would anyone be able to tell me which wires i need to cut?

    Cheers.

when i put electric windows in my ute i had the same problem, passenger side worked fine drivers didnt, i ended up running some new wiring direct from the switch to the reg, cant tell you exactly what wire it was i cut in to because it was a while ago now but im sure you will sus it out.
Test your switch and see if it had power at the switch for the drivers window if it does all you have to do is run new wire across to the reg in the door.

Im not the best with a multimeter but from what I can tell it is putting out power when pressing the buttons. I was hoping to avoid a rewire but I guess it may be the best solution in the end.
    Cheers

all the info is on this site..

the acclaims are the easiest to add power windows, coz most of the wiring is there.

search this site, my last post in regards to this topic had all the info.. btw have you checked the how-to?
