indicator stalk/high beam issues

hey guys my high beams are getting really touchy and are coming on with slight bumps to the indicator stalk and so come on sometimes when indicating. anyone had a similar issue? im guessing its just a lose wire on the stalk somewhere

Hey Mate.

Got the Same problem with the VX. Its not a Loose wire, its the inside parts of the stalk its self. You can get a new stalk for about 60$, I tried pulling another apart but it just went all wrong lol.

Steering wheel will have to come off and it should be a few screws to get the stalk off an unplug the plug

The steering wheel shroud - not the wheel itself - just needs to come off. Undo the screws at the bottom of the shroud and then unclip the stalk. You will also need to undo an electrical connector if you have crusie control installed.

Ahh true, well vl must be differant then, or atleast thats how we got mine off

getting a new stalk... i dont have cruise control but im thinking about installing it soon. should i get the cruise stalk? will that work for indicators and high beams for now without having the cruise control module. and is it then hard to install cruise?
