Hi guys im getting a loud clunk from front left of my car, happens on hard take off or braking, doesnt happen every time. Had in driveway today and put car in drive while holding brake, under acceleration and braking there was no noise but as soon as i put car in reverse clunk reappeared. Back to drive and nothing, back into reverse and clunk again. Have had a bit of a look underneath and all looks ok??? Please help as i cant afford the prices some of these suspension shops charge.
could be either link pin rubbers or radias rod bushes by the sounds of it
id put my money on the front lower kaster bushes, mine went not long ago it was really annoying, link pin bushes only make a noise when u go over bumps not when u brake but there cheap anyway so it wouldnt hurt to change them.
doin skids for the kids and doughnuts for the grown ups
Don't get confused when someone says "Castor rod", "radius rod" or brake reaction rod". They're the same thing.
Link rods are common, easy fix.
