    Default vr2 engine vibration just off idle to 1500

    just wondering if anyone has experanced a engine vibration at just off idle to approx 1500 rpm, hot or cold. load or no load netural or drive

    just replaced injectors, have way beter fuel ecco now but vibration still there
    plugs leads oil fuel filters all replaced.
    the car has been sitting for 6 years, so im thinking it could be a lifter stuck or an air leak. also whistles under hard acclaration

    any ideas before i start ripping it apart....

    This is a long shot moff man, but I thought I'd throw it in.
    What I saw many years ago on a Jap car which had been sitting for many years and also had a rubber harmonic balancer was that the balancer "flat-spotted" from having the belt pressure on the one side of the balancer for a very long period. This was only noticed when the fanbelt would not run straight (flapped up and down) and there was also a vibration from the engine. This eventually fixed itself much like a tyre left sitting with weight on it will flat-spot but will smooth out once it warms up.

    rb30 vl engines do this also, i should of know lol, i might give it a bit more time it seems to be getting better, but after a week i thought it shuld of been gorn.
    it was realy bad when i first picked it up (from outback nsw) but it had no oil in the engine and no auto fluid in it.
    injector cleaner and lifter free will do for now and ill check on the ballancer.
    i have done less than 1000km and about to do another oil change.

    just an idea, vibration or slight knock? i just had this problem recently and it was a cracked fly wheel

    and main bearings get worse when you come off idle, wanna hope its not that
    Vs eco 3.8, extractors, 2.75" exhaust, roller rockers, cammed, bored out 20, t5 manual, rolling on king springs all way round with monroe gt shocks all way round, every door has a ding but looks can be very deceaving

    deffently a vibration no knocks no pinging not even any ballance shaft noise till she warms up ( i thought at first the ballance shaft wasnt attached till it started making noise) the inspector who did my blueie said the motor moves around a fair bit but the mounts are all good.

    ohh im also a quillifyed mechanic im just asking what other people have experanced, as i dont get 2 sec to look at my own car its realy anoying, so if i can get some people with the same sorta problem i can check that first. spose i better find some time for it i guess
