It might be ok but the recommended oil is a multi grade diff oil that is 80W/140 which is thinner when cold than the straight 140 stuff but still a 140 grade oil when up to temp.

Time to do a oil change in my diff, being a older vehicle thats done 248000ks at the mo, would Penrite Limslip 140 gear oil be ok to use in my diff?
And yes it is a LSD.

yes its ok to use.. wont do any harm. but you would be better off getting the limslip 85w-140 that penrite do
The limslip 140 is designed for use in heavy commercial vehicles and 4WDs
