auto to manual

hey all, i have an auto vs ss that i want to change to manual, does anyone know where to go to get this done... or would it be cheaper to get the parts and do it myself???

do it your self... ive been wanting to do mine.. but its a hard game finding a conversion for a good price.. a reco T5 can set you back anything up to $3000 just for the box.. you can buy a 2nd hand box for around $1000 but theres no guarantee you will be buying a good gearbox.

Most the conversions seem to go for around $1500 on ebay but your taking a chance buying a used box.

I looked at doing mine ages ago, but all that fiddling around with adding a new pedal for the clutch, and stuff, i got a quote from my mechanic to do it for me.

If you have someone that you trust, or comes highly recommended from someone you trust, go and get a quote from them to do it.

What State are you in by the way?
