Hi all i have checked the codes on my vr commodore and come up with these codes in this sequence.
12 - Code 12 - System Pass (OK)
13- Code 13 - Oxygen Sensor (O2) - No Signal
28 - Code 28 - Pressure Switch Assembly Short Circuit - Auto Transmission Code
21 - Code 21 - Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) high voltage
31 - Code 31 - Theft Deterrent Signal missing
is it possible for anyone to give me advice on how to fix these problems or is it best i take it to a auto machanic.
13- Code 13 - Oxygen Sensor (O2) - No Signal get under your car and check the wiring from your o2 sensor, if you cant find anything try replacing it (cost about $100 from holden)
21 - Code 21 - Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) high voltage replace the sensor, its at the back of the throttle body directly behind the butterfly
does anyone know how to fix 28 - Code 28 - Pressure Switch Assembly Short Circuit - Auto Transmission Code.
Have you checked the level of your auto trans fluid?
yah i have its on the right level but im going to drain it and replace it when i get payed
The code 31 would be probably caused by a old key, not disabling the immobiliser, common problem. Have you had any trouble starting it?
kurtp i got 1 key that works sometimes. the 2nd key i got works perfect. i noticed today one of the metal bars that gets the signal is broken so gotta get it fixed
ty for replay and info
Hi
I'm new to this site I have a 94 vr, I have just had a new key programed for my car
the car was showing a 31 code,
it started fine this morning I drove approx 30 mins stopped to drop off my daughter when I got back in the car wouldn't start, I tried it off and on for approx 30mins while waiting for racv and eventually it started fine, I cancelled racv drove to work when I was leaving work same thing happened
any ideas would be greatly appreciated
thanks Mandy
Is it like nothing happens at all when the key is turned to start?
Hi
I spoke to my dad last night we took off the engine fuse for approx 20 seconds, put it back and the car started. Hopefully this has erased the memory, I didn't lock the car last night and this morning it started fine.
I don't know if this will fix the problem I'm a bit to scared to lock the door, but i'll test it out tomorrow when i'm at home.
Thanks
The metal tags around the ignition key hole,(the key reader) might not be touching the little metal contact on the keyfob properly. This will cause nothing to happen when turned to the start position.Check the metal tags around the keyhole, maybe carefully bend them out a tiny bit.
