    Default ABS OFF light

every now and again i get the ABS OFF light come up on the dash, what could cause this, if i turn car off and restart it it goes off

could this also contribute to the twitching in get in the pedal sometimes, like if i am in a drive thru so on brake 4 a bit the pedal like flutters under my foot

sounds exactly the same syptoms I had when one of my front ABS sensors started to fail, as already mentioned check yoru ABS error codes and go from there. if you are OK with a spanner pretty easy to change the hub just make sure you get the correct one as they are different between the IRS models and non IRS models

got mine from a company in SA that sells them on EBAY great price and good service ABSSAL is there ebay name

I had it coming up when my alternator was playing up, finally replaced it and no problems at all.

Check the large connector on the ABS unit under the bonnet - this can give problems if the engine gets degreased with alkaline based degreasers which corrode the connections. The only solution if this is the problem is to cut the whole connector off and patch one in off a donor.
