    Default Vr hsv advice

    Hey Guys

Just after some general advice on my car. It is a 1995 VR II Wagon, V6 Auto, havent had it all that long and noticed a HSV compliance plate under the bonnet. How can i find out if it genuine? I havent heard of a V6 HSV, but i may be wrong. Any advice or tips on finding out its authinticity would be appricated.

    Regards

enter the vin number into the hsv site and it should tell you if it had any hsv enhanced options. probably got some really tiny modification by hsv to get the plate, or someones just put it on there temselves. either way, it wont be anything special

    Hey

Put the details in on the site and it came back with whats below. I can't really find any more info out there about it. I'll post some pics of the plate when the car gets home (misses has it at work).

Would appear so, is there a site etc, to find out what enhanced options actually made it a HSV. The info from the HSV site didnt tell me much at all, only that it was a HSV and that it was a wagon, the later i already knew....

It could be as little as just a Level 3 dash conversion that gives it the HSV tag.

Why not purchase the certificate that says what options it has?

A level 3 dash is the 4 window dash, with the electronic trip computer (usually in calais and berlina).

But that wasn't the point, it just needed a mod done by HSV (which would be as little as leather seats, steering wheel, or all the way up to a full pack of everything).

Also on your first point, there were ALOT of V6 HSVs in the VN/P days, so its not uncommon.

    Model : VR P & A

Take your vin number into your local holden dealer, & ask them for a printout of the build sheet.
It will list all options when new.
    Best of all..........it's free!

Ring again, when i rang up (about 6 years ago for an enhanced VS SS) They told me specifically what the enhancement was (and the girl on the phone thought it was funny the only enhancement was a Level 3 Dash)

Like i said, it was a VS SS (so a few years newer than yours) but i'm pretty sure i've heard of people with VPs ringing up and getting the info. Just like anywhere, always try more than once.....just incase the actual person you spoke to doesn't know what they're talking about.

I rang HSV today and they told me to send them an e-mail with my details and the vehicles VIN, as its easier for them or something or rather. So i sent them an e-mail and got a reply in half an hour with what enhancements they had done to the vehicle. Pretty efficent...

    Hey Guys

According to HSV the vehicle comes up as a VR wagon enhanced

    - Interior trim Seats
    - Interior trim Doors
    - Electronic Climate control
    - Dash Upgrade

Thats it, so was nothing special. But it still has the badge.

They also e-mail me a copy of what the certificate looks like (attached)
