My VSII v6 a4 has a 0-100kmh time of 7.7-7.9secs, and that was with stuff in the boot inc the spare wheel
considering that a stock car does this in 8.9secs under IDEAL conditions, what kind of rwkw and nm would move my VS that quickly?
ecotec with enclosed pod cai, 4"ducting, larger plenum, extractors, 2.5inch exhaust
how'd you time it? counting in your head?
Black, Red leather, 20" Pentagons, Red walls, Lowered, OTR, Mafless, 3.9s, Diff dumpers, 341rwhp...
185i, Chasers, Flappers, Venetians, Sunvisor, Twin diff dumpers, 194rwhp...

7.7 sounds pretty average for a vs. that stock time wouldve been a real bad test, so im going to guess 100-110 rwkw
1995 Manual HSV Clubsport
Wade Cam :: 9.2:1 CR :: Pacemaker headers :: Twin 2.5" Exhaust :: VT Brakes
1991 Supercharged VN Berlina
9 PSI SC14 Intercooled :: Genie headers :: Twin cats :: HM Twin 2.25 exhaust :: 3.45:1 LSD
300kw and 500nm of torque, exactly.
Seriously though, you're not going to get an answer for a question like that without a dyno. NM and KW are two different things, and are in no way indicative of each other (unless somebody can go in to depth about how they are).
placed the speed alert in 'electronic speedo'mode, and on a phone... did several runs, on a few of them my mate was timing, I was driving and he used his stopwatch... get 7.7-7.9, quite consistently.
the only dyno i can take it to costs $100.. and i dont have that to throw away on a sheet of paper.....
if 7.7 is standard for a stock VS, why are the official times given as 8.9? official times for VT1 is 9.8, for VTII is 8.9, while the VR was 9.2
i know i'll never get the exact figure, was hoping for a reasonable, educated estimate
There's to much room for parallax error using a mate with a stop watch. I'd probably add about half a second or two.
He's saying that 7.7 seconds is an average time for a VS, not the average time. Your VS probably goes a bit faster than the average VS, but it's nothing really that special. The VR also used the 3800, hence the 9.2 seconds. The 0-100 times for other models is kind of irrelevant here though.
Also forgot to mention that time will not be indicative of KW or NM either.
when mine was just a n/a 6 i was getting 7 flat on the g-tech had all basic mods.
car would prob have around 115rwkw
