Default Temperature warning light on after Lvl dash conversion

As title says the temperature warning light stays on all the time and the warning chime goes off periodically. Gauge seems to work fine and has a brand new sender.
Has anyone got any ideas on what is causing this or shud i ignore it/take the bulb out?
    thanks in advance

Are all your 3 plugs for the dash up the correct way?
left to right as you look at the plugs - left top = pink black, middle - top left = pink black, right - top left = orange white.

Have you connected the correct green wire from the 4th plug? You also could check the voltage regulator for cracked solder joints - very common.

The plugs are correct if when sitting in the drivers seat looking at them and the top left wire is pink black on the left and middle plug and orange white on the RHS.

Check the PCB on the back of the cluster for any damage.

Correct green wire? is there more than one?
What does the voltage regulator look like?
Getting a VP senator dash to hopefully raid a few bits out of

there can be 3 green wires in the 4th plug. the 1 next to the tan wire is for the temp reading. The green at #3 is not used if it has one. The other green is with the tan, white & lt blue for the trip control switch block.

^^ voltage regulator. May need solder on a joint or 2.

Also the temp alarn side of things is controlled via the trip computer from memory - you could check the PCB ribbon connector to see if it has been broken where it connects to the trip computer.

Also dont plug the VP cluster into your car - it will smoke and melt something.
