Ok, well i've gone through 2 batterys now, seems like the alternator to me, but ill ask anyways.
I've checked the brushes on the alternator they are fine, now the problem is the car starts then runs well, then it does not start and just clicks (such as it has a flat battery) i jump started it a moment ago, and it was REAL sluggish like didnt wanna move, felt like it was dieing of fuel, now would that mean the alternator? So it seems when the car is running good it is relying on the battery, now the battery is dead, it has no voltage?
Since i've had the car the battery light stays on, then when i went to drive it a moment ago, the engine light came on and so did abs "off" (dont know if it means anything but thaught i would mention it anyways)
I went and checked the error codes and it came up with these.
1. Code 75 - System Voltage Low - Auto Transmission Only
2. Code 31 - Theft Deterrent Signal Missing
3. Code 12 - System Pass (OK)
I just replaced the battery in it, so it was bran new, now shes dead.
Any help appreciated.
Cheers.
I'd be tempted to say:
Voltage regulator in the alternator
Alternator
Fusable link between battery and alternator.
If you bought a brand new battery, and it died so quickly, its obviosuly been there JUST to power the car, and the car has sucked all the juice from the battery with no alternator charge
System voltage low, would be a low battery, not a lot of volts getting to ECU
Theft Deterrent signal missing - not enough volts to run the immoboliser/factory alarm
Double post..

So thats a go on buying a new alternator? or just one from the wreckers?
O Btw, what do you mean by fuseable link? There just a wire that goes from battery to the back of alternator and nothing else? Also if i was to replace the voltage regulator in the alternator, is that the black box that the brushes sit it.
Sorry im pretty car illiterate, but i wouldnt mind learning heh :/
The fusible links are the fuse looking things infront of the black fuse box in the engine bay, there just like big fuses but called fusible links.
Yes the voltage reg is the black thing in the back of the alternator with the brushes on it, 9 times out of 10 when you get charging probs its just the brushes that need to be replaced.. you say yours look ok but do you know what they should look like if they were new?? they could be excessively warn down and not making good contact hence no charge??
If you can get your battery charged up, i would start the car then test the voltage at the battery is it sits at 12v or lower then its defo your charging system that has a fault, if it reads around 14v then it is charging.
Yeah i baught some new brushes, and they are practically the same size when they line up, now i goto charge the battery, and i cant get one till tomorrow morning, sucks.
Whats a rough price on an alternator at say repco or something?
you could just jump start the car to test the charging system..
I would go to the wreckers and get a 2nd hand alternator and fit your new brushes to the reg.
Took it down to my local auto electrician, it was a sensor coming off the batter a $15 fix.
Thanks for the help anyways westbad and tr3nt.
I have having same problem
Where was this sensor???
What did it look like?
