    Default v8 king springs in a v6?

Hey all, i put V8 SL king springs in my V6 commodore and it seems more bouncy and uncomfortable ride wise compared to my mates who have king springs SL for a V6.

Is my ride more uncomfortable and bouncy because the springs are V8?

    cheers

Since the springs are for a heavier car, eg a V8, i would be guessing that with the lesser weight of the V6 that it would be a bit lighter and probably feel bouncier.

As above^^ V8 springs are stiffer than V6 ones due to the extra weight/power

if you want a total 'lowering' of your car, e.g. springs and labour, costs $350 - $400 around Eastern suburbs...i.e. Tyre Factory. Ace Exhausts etc etc etc.

And yeah Dean, V8 springs are bouncier and different to V6 one's due to extra weight. So your car will (and does) sit higher as opposed to mine having V6 Super Lows. And will obviously be bouncier as well. Change to V6 ones ASAP!

V8 ones wont do any harm mate, they will just be a little stiffer that the 6 one... you know the best answer to your problem..... take the V6 out and put a V8 in!! problem solved ;-) lol

What condition are the front shocks in? stuffed/worn shocks will give a crap ride.. one of the best mods you can do is NEW SHOCKS .. KYB, Koni and Bilstein.

this is about the best advice that can be given for any car that is more then 3-5years old and 50,000km+ on the clock. imagine the difference on a 200,000km car with original shocks

KYB are good all round shocks. cheaper and better then munroe

and change those springs when you fit new shocks
