Default Corvette Servo Removal in car? need help

    hey guys.

half way thru putting in my corvette servo and servicing the trans.

cant seem to get the servo out. ive removed the cover and the first bit of metal. but the part with the pin is too long and hits the trans tunnel when trying to remove it.

ive lowered the box and tryed pushing it to one side to give more clearance but didnt work.

so here i am in the middle of it. with no idea on how to get it out. my next option is to bend the trans tunnel to allow it to come out. hopefully it doesnt come to that and there is an easier way.

    cheers guys

ive found this photo on the net. im guessing its possible to leave the pipe in the car and remove the rest. from the clip on the right hand one. if you remove that it may be possible to get the rest off?

Theres a circlip holding the piston in pin just take if off, then you can take the servo off...

Yep, you have to kinda unbuild the servo in the trans servo housing. After you remove the circlip lever the pin into the trans and you should be able to get each section out using that method. You will most likely need to undo the centre bearing to allow the tailshaft enough slack to tilt the box back and right down

    **** yeah..

i understand what you guys mean now.

definitely going to write up a how to for anyone else keen to do this.
saved me alot of cursing and hitting things/ braking things. it was bad enough i had to remove the y pipe to let the pan come off. stupid pacemakers.

I had to what chargedv6 said but what really brought me un stuck is when I took it for a test drive and the circlip blew out even though I doubled checked so becareful its fully seated in the groove
