I've been looking all over for the engine specifications of the 1998/99 VS SS V8 Utility. I would like to know how much power they come out factory. does anyone know of a website with this information displayed?
168kw @4400 395nm @3000
Maximum power: 179 kW @ 4800 rpm
Maximum torque: 400 Nm @ 3600 rpm
VS Commodore / Calais / Ute Specs
the series 3 VS SS ute 1999 model was actually... Power 179kW @ 4800rpm Torque 400Nm @ 3800-3600rpm
and the 1998 model was... Power 168kW @ 4400rpm Torque 385Nm @ 3600-3600rpm
im not after series 3 - im after the ss that they only made 300 odd of
The SS limited edition ute's were all series 3 and only made in 98-99
98 model had 168kw
99 model had 179kw
hmm getting a few diff answers here, if so what had changed between the 98 and 99
Presumably the 98 model used the VS V8 and the 99 model used the VT (roller camshaft) V8.
all the answers look the same to me!!
