    Default Changing a VR Radiator

    Hey

    Just looking for some info on whats required in changing a Radiator in a VR. Couldn't find any info on here, if anyone can point me in the right direction i'd be gratful.

    a new radiator, basic tools and a 6 pack.. 2 hose clamps 1 wiring plug (thermo fans) 1 overflow pipe 2 trans lines (if its auto) and its out..

    And what, another 6 cans, hook up a few things, and its in? Doesn't look to hard, just wondering what the catch is!!!

    it's easy as. not sure if you HAVE to take the fan out, but when i did mine i took it out.
    i reckon hardest part of the whole job is the 2 clips holding the radiator in

    ^yep, simple.

    For VTs they made it hard, then VX got a bit easier again, then VY was simple again

    Don't forget the auto transmission cooler lines where they attach to the radiator.....cover the ends of the hoses when you remove them as you don't want dirt in the transmission oil....consider new hoses/rad cap.....consider new coolant. If re-using old coolant figure out how to catch old coolant.
