Default slow leak in one of my tyres + wheel alignment question.

my car is due for a wheel balance and alignment and some other shit to do with steering , ive just noticed i have a slow leak in my front left tyre which will allways stop at 18psi , the tyre has what i would call camber wear on the outer inch so its going to be changed just before the allignment.
my question is ... is it safe too use that tyre leak sealing foam stuff you can get at servos for a week or so or should i just chuck the better wheel on now even though im getting some wear on the outer inch.
the tyres that are on now are on walkingshaw rims so they are thicker than standard but i dont know the measuremeants, dont know if thats relevant.
should i have got an alignment when i threw those rims on?

no worries with using that goo stuff, better to have all good tyers on just before the alignment, as in do not put it on noow as it will just were the new tyers out

Ask any tyre fitter about Fini-Leak, or other Ammonia based "tyre foam", and you will politely be told to bend over while he kicks your arse. It's not that they won't fix a tyre with it in there but it is a real pain in the arse, it stinks, it goes all over the tyre fitting equipment, it stinks, it has to be completely dried out before a repair can be done, oh and did I mention it STINKS!!!

Please, if it is a slow leak, save yourself some cash and just keep the air pressure up to the tyre until you can get it fixed. Your tyre fitter will thank you, and probably won't charge you through the nose...

yeh its a slow leak but the outer inch of the tyre is worn bald so its going to have to be replaced anyway.

Always tell your tyre fitter if you have used such products as tyre weld or the like coz of the propellant in the cans can explode if they drill the puncture sight and cause a spark ???
best idea would be to fit the spare tyre .
