My ute runs on dual fuel. If I start her on petrol she starts quickly but if I start her on gas it takes a while. Is this normal and if not can you suggest a way to fix the problem. I do try to divide my driving evenly between the gas and petrol.
AFAIK that's normal for it to start not as quick as petrol because petrol is more volatile. I suggest you start on petrol and flick it onto gas.![]()
Years ago when the first LPG/petrol duel fuel conversions came out they would have to be started on petrol because of this reason, then once it had warmed up a bit you could switch it to gas .I suggest you start on petrol and flick it onto gas.
Thanks guys, good to know. I really dont need any extra problems with her at the moment.
i have a 1997 vs the gas was installed the same year (1997). when startring mine it doesn always start the first time but i thought that it was just cause my gas system was old. it is really annoying when it takes a few times to start it. how new is your gas system?
