    Default remote locking lights

    Hey guys,

Funny thing happened last night. When I arrived home I locked my car and as usual the lights blinked, except for some reason the right headlight didn't blink. The indicators and left light did. I turned on my lights again to ensure that they were both working and they do, it's just when I lock the car the front right one doesn't work.

I don't care that much because the car still locks, was just wondering why it would be doing that?

Ow also my right side indicator clicks twice the speed as normal. I know they usually do this when you leave it on, but it does it straight away, just a bit weird.( i know other threads discuss this so i don't need help with this thanks, was just saying is all)

I thought it was only the indicators that blinked. I've never seen the headlights flash when locking or unlocking.

    Never seen this either.

As for your fast clicking indicator, this usually indicates a blown indicator bulb somewhere, maybe one of the guard repeaters.

I can post a video of the car turning off if people wanna see LOL.

As for the indicator bulb, it still works though... so does it matter if i get it fixed or not? funny cos i just replaced my old indicators with clear ones from the forum LOL and your saying the bulb was blown? great...

Ive never seen the headlights flash, just the blinkers are meant to flash when locking/unlocking with the remote.Your blinker flash rate problem could be a blown blinker bulb (either front or rear on the side that flashes faster) or the blinker relay might be stuffed.Another thing to check there might be a short between the right side blinker circuit and the lighting circuit. If theres a trailer electrical connector fitted it could be bad trailer plug wiring or crook plug ,also check the wiring in the boot area..

If you originally had orange indicators they would have clear globes and if you replaced them with clear indicators then they have orange globes, so if that is the case you will need to buy orange globes. If you replaced the indicators with the same type then you can use the globes from the old ones.

Ow alright then. Dang that sucks... any idea for the cost of those bulbs? I bought the clear ones for $25 on here, so it sucks now have to spend more on them 0_o.

The orange bulbs are around $5-$10 at auto shops, probably a bit dearer from a servo.

I'd remove the bulb first and check that the filament is busted otherwise replacing the bulb will achieve nothing. However, from your first post I'd be double checking the way the new indicators are wired in because it sounds more like a wiring problem than a blown bulb. As a last resort try replacing the old indicatorss and wire them exactly as they were before replacing - if everything works OK you will know it's the way you wired the new indicators. Good Luck.

I think your flashing headlights must be a previous owners mod. Cool, but pretty sure its not stock, Ive never seen it.

There is nothing wrong with the globe if it is still lighting up, you would have a short circuit somewhere or a loose globe. I had the same deal when i put silvered over indicators in and i didnt fit it properly.
