hi guys i hsve got a vs accliam. was driving it today when i stoped at the lights. the car was idiling fine then it would feel like there was a surge and it would keep doing it has any one got any ideas as to what this problem might be cheers

Check for any error codes. Checking error codes VR/VS (Revised)

tried that it just came up with twelve so there is no problems. i really am stuck with this one. any ideas would be appricated thanks

Can you explain what you mean by "the car was idiling fine then it would feel like there was a surge and it would keep doing it" - does it do it in N or P and do the revs change much...engine cold/warm/hot etc.... any recent work done on car. More info the better.

It does not matter if the car is cold or hot.
It also does not matter what gear it is in, n, p or d.
don't know if the rev's change, havent actually taken notice lol (male vision)
The best way to discribe it, is that it jolts, it feels like it wants to take off.
I have no idea of recent work done to the car because I have only just got it.
When i did get the car the old owner said there might be a prob with the balancer, but was unsure as he was going off what his mate told him and had no idea what his mate meant.
