Any motor will fit into a VS if you have enough money and time.

As for bolt in's, any EFI 5 litre or Ecotec depending on the K-frame and motor in your car now. As for your current motor, it can be reconditioned too.

The VT Motor has a roller Block and sequensial injection. But the motor would go you would be advised to use your current BCM with a VS V8 ECU. The engine wiring looms are the same but theres quite a bit of difference in the working and wiring of the BCMs and other electrics. If you go to anything larger than a 5.0L then you will need to get it engineered. Look for a donor car without major front end damage as then you can use everything.

O.k, so you know the pistons go up and down right? haha just joking, The holden 5 Litre uses pushrods to open and close the valves in the heads. These rods are pushed up and down by the cam, on the VT 5 Litre these had little wheels that reduced friction between the cam and the pushrods, hence the term roller.
