A few years ago i found a page on the net that had a guide to removing the mesh inside your air flow meter on a vs commodore , will it stuff up my air flow readings if i remove the mesh or will it allow more air to pass threw , just wondering what your opinions are on removing it cheers .
I have attached a photo of the mesh in the air flow meter .
Don't. Any gain you get will be so marginal it won't be worth doing, especially on a stocker.
.....also, the mesh is there to protect the fine sensing wire.
If something in the air stream hits the sensor wire......goodbye sensor.
If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?
As stated, terrible idea. Won't make any worthwhile difference.
