Stalling V6 Ecotec

Recently i had an issue with my car stalling. I got code 46 come up and replaced my harmonic balancer, crank angle sensor, still had the same problem! Replaced my cam angle sensor. Still had the problem. I got some advise of a mate who had a similar problem. I removed the coil packs and the plate they mount onto. Then simply get some emery tape or sand paper clean up the plate on the motor side and under the coil module then it worked. Spent alot of money for something i could have fixed for nothing. I was just a dirt contact.

Code 46 is ignition no spark or injector pulse so you were on the right track. It was because the coil pack was not grounding to earth corretly.

Thats exactly right. Being a mechanic i should have realised. Just hoping it could save someone the expense
