I want to put an Adjustable fuel pressure regulator on a v6 and was wondering if i need to put a different end on the fuel rail as the old regulator bolts straight on the fuel rail has anyone put an aftermarket FPR on and how did you do it???
That regulator is designed to work with your standard fuel pump and injectors. The only reasons you would put on and adjustable one is if you had a different set of injectors or fuel pump which required a greater or lesser pressure. You will not gain anything if your running stock injectors/ fuel pump and standard memcal chip.
dude i have a remote mount turbo i've got new injectors (supercharghed) and pump thats way i posted this!
put in in the line after the stock reg and use both
I tune the oldschool way fear on the passengers face and knuckle colour cant go wrong

So id have to disconnect the vacuume line to the stock one to keep it open???, then vacuume from the throttle body to the aftermarket one??
delcowizzid are you the one that everyone says can do the ECU, MEMCAL programs?
Sorry, I was too quick in my response. OK what you can do if you want to go diy is copy the pitch circle diameter of the holes on the original regulator mounting plate and make a new plate at least 5mm thick out of stainless if possible. Buy a stainless fitting with a thread on one end and barbed fitting on the other end. See your local machine shop for a quote if you can't do it yourself. Drill and tap it BSP taper thread 3/8 inch or 7/16th's depending on which one will fit without getting too close to the mounting holes. Silver solder it in once you screwed it into place on the mounting plate. You probably want to run 1/2 inch all the way to your fuel regulator from the fuel pump with that kind of setup. Use good quality fittings and clamps.
I have a spare intake manifold could i take the inlet off the spare and put in on my out let would it fit it looks very similar o-ring and all???
and wollongong's my old stomping ground go the GONG
Top idea. I think the return line fitting from the left hand bank fuel rail will fit into the right hand supply fuel rail. Put it into the right hand side and wham bam no need to fabricate nothing. See you down south beach maybe one day ?. Pm me when your gonna make the hike bro !!. Good luck with the mod's.
most of the time you leave the stock one fully connected so it holds base pressure cause they do it better than most aftermarket ones then use the secondary one to raise pressure as needed for extra supply but as i tell everyone else best place for the new one is in the bin
