They must be rusted on. If you are going to replace them then just keep bashing with a big hammer. If you don't want to damage them keep spraying with WD 40 or a rust dissolver and give it lots of time to penetrate. Oh and jacking it off isn't going to get the job done.

i knew it sounded wierd at the time, i used a scissor just to try and push it off, by winding the jack higher if it makes sense

thats if you wanna take the whole hub assembly off, just belt the **** out of it with a hammer keep changing where you hitting it from memory they are a "floating" type of rotor and are held on by the wheel and caliper(no bolts on in the actual rotor)

The nut behind the cap is only on models up to VP.The VR and later models use the sealed front bearing/hub and the disk is just a sliding fit over the hub.Nothing holds it there except the wheel and the wheel nuts.I had the same trouble when I replaced my hubs.I bashed the disk with a rubber mallet after Id soaked it in wd-40 overnight. They finally came off after a lot of hitting.

these are a pain, the get rusted on over time. buy a can of penetrene or similiar and spray around the centre of the hub and let it sit fora while then spray again if necessary. then you can belt it with a rubber mallet and turn the hub 180 degrees each time and eventually it will give.

In the past i have to kick wheels off the front hubs coz of the corrosion of the front hubs , once used a three jaw puller to remove a ford xf mag wheel , worst comes to worst drill and tap the rotor with a M10 thread in two places and wind two bolts into the rotor to push of the hub use plenty of wd-40 rost off crc , spray from the front and back off the rotor around the wheel studs and hammer away until they came off .

Sorry, but it was an attempt at humour. Using a jack was a good idea really.

I just beat the shit out of the ones on my old 5L, no mercy. Put a skinny bit of wood in the way to soak up the worst of the damage and go to town on it with a steel hammer

On the reverse side of the disc. They are the only allen key bolts there.

try a hammer and punch from the inside of the rotor hub to avoid hitting the disc surface

The brake rotors are not bolted on. There are 3 bolts on the hub only which do not need to be removed if your just removing the rotors. Just be patient and take your time and hit them off from the back of the rotor with a copper faced hammer. The use of penetrine or wd40 etc, will help a lot.

It maybe quicker to remove it at the hub and hit the hub from it. I had to replace the hubs on the VT over the weekend, no amount of hitting the disc would budge it. I thought stuff it, I am taking the hubs off anyway. I undid it at the hubs layed them on some newspaper and a couple of tabs with the hammer on the hubs had it drop away from the disc.

when i did my brakes a few months back the rears were rusted on well too, no amount of percussive maintenance would convince them to come off. grabbed a 10inch 3 jaw gear puller and had them off in about 2 minutes

Oxy Torch ?? It may just need a bit of heat to losen the rust.
Or try hitting around the hub, near the disc.
