my parcel shelf in my vs is stuffed due to the previous owner trying to install 6x9s

So just a few questions I tried searching and find mixed results

1. Is it a straight swap, if not how hard is it two modify?
2. Any one got pictures of it done?
3. Can I put 6 x 9s in it?
