idling and stalling...now can hear clunky kinda sound at idle???

hey guys

can anyone help me i seem to have some problems wif my VR it idles way to low to the point it stalls and even crunches through the gears while driving (auto) but i cleaned out the oil/filter and replaced spark plugs it seemd to stop the gears from being so bad but i still have idiling problems and now this strange noise can anyone suggest wat the problem could be

Try doing an error check for starters.---Checking error codes VR/VS (Revised) ---If you go into this link and scroll down near the bottom of the posts,there are some excellent pictures which show how this error checking is done.

so iv checked my error codes and it comes up with 12 and 31
31 doesnt seem to make sence y my car is running like it is???

check your balancer is it in one piece or two with the outer ring loose from the rubber in the middle
