    Question Leaking fuel.

    Hey guys.
Just wanted some ideas on what this could be.

My car is leaking mass amounts of fuel from the engine area. The engine light on the dash comes and goes.

Car still runs fine. Like its not misfiring or anything.

Give us a shout if you have any ideas.

    Cheers.

It could be an injector seal or the fuel rail split or leaking. It could be a seal where the fuel inlet pipe and fuel pressure regulator are connected to the fuel rail.It could be one of the fuel supply or return lines leaking.Remove the engine cover and check it all out.As soon as the ignition key is turned to "on" position the fuel system is pressurised and you be able to see where its leaking from .Dont run the engine with a leak like this unless youve got the car insured,it might catch alight. Also go to the following link, this link shows you how to check for any error codes .This will tell you why the engine light is on.In this link, down near the bottom of the posts, there is excellent pictures of how to do this error check too,so check em out if you are not sure about doing this check. ---Checking error codes VR/VS (Revised)---

I checked the codes the way that link told me to.
    It flashed once then twice.
So that's 12. But 12 is all fine.

    Help??

Did you let the test go for a couple of minutes. It will display code 12 three times, then it will display any logged error codes. And then after any error codes are shown it will show code 12 again. If theres no logged codes,it will flash up code 12 constantly.

The codes came up as code 44. Which is RH oxygen sensor lean.

Is that what's causing my fuel leak?
