Default Vr Berlina 185i RPM guage Spiking

Hey guys recently the rpm would spike on cold start ups in the morning now its getting worse, like the needle will spike anywhere between 2000rpm to sometimes 5000rpm, it has a hsv 250km cluster and i have no clue as to what causes it. after about 5mins of driving it will stop but just today it started to come back after about half an hour, i tried searching but no luck

    cheers

probably a dry/cracked solder joint in the tacho or voltage regulator - that's my guess

Agree there as my module caused the same issues with tacho and missing engine/rough idle. Replaced it and it went away.
