Hi,

When I reverse out of my driveway and then put in D and try to drive away often it seem the car cannot find the gear. It will move forward slowly but will just keep revving. Not sure if this is a fixable problem or whether I'll need a new gearbox?

I'm about to buy a new car next month. However my VR only just ticket over 150,000 KMs and don't feel the trade in will do it justice especially if they notice the transmission issue.
Hence I was wondering if it was possible and not to expensive >$2k to change the auto into a manual?
If anyone has done this roughly how much did it cost?

Any advice, thoughts and similar experiences would be greatly appreciated.
