putting more power to the ground with transmission mods

Hi all,

Im wondering what mods I can do to the transmission in hope of putting more power to the ground.

I know there is a significant loss from the engine and through the driveline, but i would like to minimise it.

Does a shift kit help? I have one on my vx v6 and could swear it makes a bit more.

shift kits help heaps less lag between gears got stage2 in my vn 5ltr 3000 hi stall stock motor runs 8.8 on 1/8 mile with standard gearing so playing around with auto is money well spent.gain per dollar is good value if you were to lower the gearing more gains to be had. just my opinion . but no doubt there will be ppl on here doing bigger and better things .

good to know. im doing a rebuild on the tranny soon, will get a shift kit put in also. Am also getting motor rebuilt soon with all the good stuff, but will make certain the trans is also strengthened
